How I work
Discovery first. I start with the people who own the process and write the requirement in their words before any architecture is drawn.
Steady under pressure. Led the IT and data side of a refinery crisis response, with the systems the operation ran on working within days.
Full-cycle ownership. From architecture to deployment and user adoption, I stay accountable for the outcome, not just the deliverable.
Human-first design. Every interface I build prioritizes clarity and empathy, turning complex workflows into tools people genuinely enjoy using, with optimized and efficient flows.
Organizations I've worked with

About me
Twelve years ago I was the only technical person at a small university, keeping it online on my own. Today I design the digital backbone of a national foundation. Everything in between, a refinery's reporting standard, a crisis response, a platform used by more than 80,000 people, came from the same habit: sit with the people who own the process, understand it properly, and build the system they will still be using years later.
I work well under pressure, and I have had to. The Balongan crisis response did not need a roadmap. It needed evacuee data, documents, and payments running within days, and it got them. Pressure like that strips a problem down to what matters. It taught me to ship the smallest thing that works, put it in front of real users immediately, and let their reaction decide what comes next.
Continuous improvement is a habit, not a program. The same instinct that took PF Lestari from a CIP forum Gold to Platinum at the Annual Pertamina Quality Award runs through the small things: a half-day meeting that now takes 45 minutes, a broken part measured, modeled, and printed instead of replaced, a process that loses a step every time I touch it. Failure is information, and the loop is the point.
So the rule underneath is simple. Start with the people who will use it, remove friction, and never add a step that does not earn its place. Technology should accelerate decisions, not decorate them. I write about this on the blog, and I am looking for a solutions architect role where that is the job.

Hands-On Engineering
Architecture does not stop at the screen. I design and 3D print physical parts with the same discipline I bring to systems: measure first, prototype early, iterate until it fits.
Measure, Sketch, Model
Every part begins with precise measurement of the original, a working sketch, and a CAD model with tolerances defined before anything reaches the printer.
Print, Fit, Return to Service
The printed part is fitted, tested, and adjusted until the equipment works as intended. Repairing rather than replacing is continuous improvement at household scale.
Beyond Work
How I keep my problem-solving instincts sharp outside the office.
Systems Thinking Through Play
Where curiosity meets engineering
I gravitate toward games that demand the same kind of thinking I apply professionally: designing systems, optimizing processes, and solving complex interdependent problems under constraints.
Stormworks: Build and Rescue
Building fully autonomous vehicles from scratch: ships, helicopters, planes, and trains. Each requires real programming logic, sensor integration, and control systems. The same engineering mindset I use at work, applied in a sandbox with no limits.
Factorio
Designing and scaling production systems with supply chain optimization, throughput analysis, and continuous improvement loops. It is, in essence, industrial process engineering disguised as a game.
What draws me to these isn't relaxation. It's the same drive that fuels my work: give me a complex system to design, constraints to work within, and a problem worth solving. My hobby is thinking, and I do it continuously.
Relentless Iteration
Inspired by Wintergatan Wednesday
Wintergatan Wednesday is a documentary series where Martin Molin builds an impossibly ambitious musical marble machine from scratch, with mechanical engineering, music, and craftsmanship converging into one project. As someone who studied mechatronics, the technical depth alone pulled me in. But what kept me watching, week after week, was something deeper.
Martin fails constantly, and openly. Parts break, designs prove unworkable, entire subsystems get scrapped after months of effort. Yet he never surrenders. Every failure becomes a lesson, every setback feeds the next iteration. He shows up every Wednesday with the same hunger to learn, to refine, to push forward. That relentless cycle of building, failing, improving, and building again captured in beautifully cinematic detail, is the most honest portrayal of engineering I have ever seen.
It mirrors how I approach my own work: continuous improvement is not a methodology, it is a mindset. The willingness to iterate, to treat failure as fuel rather than defeat, and to stay committed to a long-term vision even when the path is unclear.

Get in Touch
I am looking for a solutions architect or solutions engineering role with a vendor, an integrator, or a team that builds for enterprise customers. If that is what you are hiring for, I would be glad to talk.
"I build technology meant to disappear. The best systems do not demand attention. They remove friction, respect time, and support decisions quietly. I chase that moment when a complex day feels lighter, everything just works, and people can focus on what really matters."
